Cyberpunk 2077 is now a revolutionized game that finally offers gamers a quality gaming experience, unlike what it was during its launch. Actually, this game was one of the most expected games in the industry.

The game boasted impressive features, including replicas of famous personalities like Idris Elba, Keanu Reeves, and James Bond. This piqued the interest of many players who eagerly awaited its launch.

However, upon its release in 2020, players were left disappointed as the game fell short of expectations. Bugs and poor user experiences were present throughout, leading to a wave of dissatisfaction among players.

Nevertheless, the developer of this game, CD Projekt Red, went inside the dungeon and cooked up a very massive upgrade to what Cyberpunk 2077 players of 2020 experienced. It is already more than 3 years since this game went live, but the latest upgrade is mouthwatering, and it will get you hooked for hours.

According to many analysts, they are already calling it the best shooting game of 2023. And the latest upgrade from developer CD Projekt Red came with a unique name. Called the Phantom Liberty, this new expansion of Cyberpunk 2077 is set to take over the baking world. But there's bad news. This will be the first and only expansion of this game.

Phantom Liberty will Become the First and Only Expansion of Cyberpunk 2077

It looks like developer CD Projekt Red is playing with gamers' emotions. Just when they thought that they would be finally getting a premium experience from this game, the developers announced Phantom Liberty as the last expansion of the game.

What are the reasons for this decision? Lack of finances or manpower? Well, Michał Nowakowski, CD Projekt Red’s SVP of business development, has an answer to these questions.

According to him, they have already decided to wrap things up with this gaming franchise with the Phantom Liberty expansion.

"As we have announced a long time ago, we’re not going to make a second or third expansion. This is the only expansion of the game, and it has nothing to do with the numbers and how satisfied or not we are with sales or anything of the kind. It’s a technological decision to be honest. This is the last time we’re working on the Red Engine for the time being at least, and in the foreseeable future as you know, we are working on the Unreal Engine from Epic. This was one of the key reasons we decided this was the only one," Michał Nowakowski explained.

New Keanu Reeves's Addition For This Game

While developer CD Projekt Red worries about the future of this game, you might as well relinquish the present. There will be an addition of Arasaka Tower 3D that will let players play the role of Johnny Silverhand. This character is derived from Actor Keanu Reeves.

This new addition will bring many exciting moments to this game. Gamers can now shoot their enemies in the style of Doom and Wolfenstein 3D. Moreover, there are also secret doors in Arasaka Tower that will allow players to gain access to new weapons and health.
